Tilt is there to compensate for cutter blade angle, to give you a way to use a cutter whose number is not ideal for the job. I suppose tilt might be used to effect a correction to contact location, but I don't have an equation for that.
Could you tell me if you are using CPC-DUP or other software? I'm not sure what software you are talking about when you say "...does not work for it".
