According to the chart of cutters in CPC-BV4, the PA of cutter "A" is 22deg35min, which is the angle you found from a setup and gear specs. I would assume this is for spindle angle settings of "0"
The bearing is also given for each cutter in the table of cutters. Bearing for cutter "A" is .785
which I understand to mean:
Length of tooth contact = .785 X Face Width.
If your gear face width is 2.845, then .785 x 2.845= 2.234 bearing contact.
I'm not sure if that is any help, but let me know what you think.
