I didn't readily see a reason for the nominal OD being 8.1 - it seems that the lesser numbers would express a negative tolerance as Tom suggested.
Then the question in my mind is why three numbers for OD in the spec?
Do the two smaller numbers (7.82 and 7.73) express sizes for Go / NoGo gages?
