Are your hob cutters cylindrical or hour glass in shape? I tried to find info on Radicon worm gears, and it seems that they are similar to cone drive worm gear sets where the hour-glass shaped worm "wraps" over more teeth to increase contact area.
I couldn't find any design info on the net. As a hobbing process, I think it's very interesting. Perhaps someone could share some info?
