The gears on the machine are what came with it. it is setup as follows;

hob spindle 68T in mesh with 84t intermediate, pinned to 42T in mesh with 72T on the workpiece spindle.

so 68/84 = .8095
42/72= .58333
.8095*.5833 =.4722

or 84/68=1.2359
72/42=1.7142
1.2359*1.7142=2.1175

Either way for a 16:1 constant I won't get 34 teeth. it should be 2.3125 right?

If i swap the spindle gears;
84/72=1.1666
68/42=1.6190
1.1666*1.6190=1.8887
Which would give me 20.2204 teeth :(

So obviously I need a different setup!
