Standard tooth thickness is 3.927mm so at 3.231mm this will give you backlash of 0.65mm. Therefore across 4.25mm balls you'll be looking for around 176.875mm. Across 5.50mm balls you'll be looking for around 171.72mm. For standard tooth thickness with 0.10mm backlash and 4.25mm balls you'll be looking for around 175.189 - 175.334mm. Please note that the 5.50mm balls seat around the tooth tip area, therfore are far too large to use. Hope this helps. If you like I can email you a 3D graphic screenshot of the gear along with views of the ball seating arrangements.
