It is possible, but probably not a practical proposition. I have not done it myself, but as I understand it, you basically reverse the functions of the machine. That is, a helical gear shaper cutter goes where the gear blank would be normally, and the worm to be cut goes where you normally mount your hob. Even if you can source a suitable cutter, the cost would be prohibitive for a one off.
