Sometimes the plate gets worn out or the paint gets faded. The feed ratio should be on the third line of the plate
the first line: FEEDS PER REV OF WORK
second line: NO 3 GEAR HOBBING MACHINE
third line: GEAR RATIO = FEED REQD/.150
after that it has the change gear charts for various feeds.
