Sorry I didn't get back to you. I didn't get a reply for a few days so I didn't think I was going to get one and never checked back.

The gears that I need internal splines shaped in are about 7 different sizes and the biggest is about 6". I do not have a gear shaper myself but I have a guy that is going to do them but he said he would have to make some kind of fixture to hold them. I was just wondering what I might get into as far as cost to have these made. One problem is the teeth are already cut on the gears and some of them have odd number of teeth like 31 so a 3 jaw chuck is pretty much out for holding these.

I really don't know what kind of shaper he has but I was just wondering if I might be able to make a stepped plate with the different sized internal diameters to match the od size of my gears and then he could machine the back of this plate to whatever it needs to mount on his machine. I was thinking of just drilling and tapping the outer part of my plate to allow two clamps to hold the gears down. Does this sound like something that would work? Would there clearance for the clamps while shaping the splines?
