How do you debur nylon gears? Dead sharp cutters and stacking blanks help, and using sacrificial backup plates help. But what about small lots, bevel gears, and large chamfers? Are we doomed to remove the fluffy stuff with a knife or does someone have a better way?

I remember a manufacturer that sold a pressure vessel that used an explosive gas mixture to melt metal burs and flashing. I guess the very high temperature for a very short duration was the key. Wonder how this might work on plastic?
