off-angle bevel gear design

I'm playing with a design that requires 1:1 spiral bevel gears at an off-angle. Different versions can mesh at shaft angles of about either 70 or 110 deg. Is there any advantage to one or the other as far as cost, weight, strength, power, noise, lubrication, reaction, etc. are concerned? (Be kind - I don't know much about gear design!)
