We have been given a worn out sample of Worm Wheel for manufacture of a new one.

We drew borings from the sample (made in Sweden) for chemical analysis and the following results were found:

Copper: 68.20%, Tin: 11.36%, Zinc: 20.44%, Lead: Trace, Phosphorus: Trace, Nickel: Trace, Aluminium: Nil, Manganese: Nil, Iron: 0.30%.

We are unable to trace the relevant standard & grade to which this bronze belongs, without which we cannot get the percentage range of each element.

Any help shall be highly appreciated. Kindly e-mail your views at calicut@hotmail.com & oblige.
