I have a worm wheel attachment for the Mikron 102 but hobs are not readily available so we use the Barber Colman with vertical feed. The rotation of the cutter is always against the headstock. For tangential hobbing of wheels the hob is tapered on the left end. The rotation must follow the hand, right hand wheel/ left hand hob. Feed is perpendicular to the wheel and toward the headstock. If you only have a one tooth fly cutter then the feed must be plunged on center.
