I guess you can make a calculation with a reasonable error by approximating the worm with a rack (straight line profile) in the axial section of the worm, which generates an involute in the transverse section of the wormgear (if the shaft angle is 90°) anyway, I am really curious why you would need that, as I have never used it in the design or the manufacture of a worm?
