Has anyone ever add a shop built tan feed to a hobber in order to fly cut worm gears . I cut worm gears now with a fly cutter but the process is frought with peril. One mistake and you can scrap an expencive blank. I was thinking of picking up the feed coming out of the existing feed ratio and with bevels and shafts rig up a screw feed on the hob shift slide. I own a 1941 G&E 24H. Thanks in advance
