Hello, I am working on a helical gear of specification as under;

Ratio 13x76, 2.75 Normal Module, PA 20°, HELIX ANGLE 8°, Face Width = 18mm

I have sample( Original Set ) of the same but outside diameter differs from that of my calculation. Why it is so ?

For Example :

Sample Outside diameter is 44.5 for 13T and 216.5 for 76T. Center Distance on tester = 125.222

My calculation result is as follows :

Outside Diameter Pinion 13T = 41.601
Outsdie Diameter Gear 76T = 216.554
Centre Diatance = 123.578

Why this decrease the pinion diameter?

Please reply.

Thank you in advance

Zastian
