I am working on a differerntial application that requires me to calculate the lives of the bearings in the diff. I am having some trouble following the coordinate system for the gear forces that is listed in the manual I am currently using. Does anyone have any equations that clearly define direction and magnitude of Spiral bevel and Hypoid gear forces and the resulting bearing forces?
