I am having trouble finding formulas and other info about cutting a set of straight bevels with 6/8 stub teeth . I will be using a Gleason 12 and hope to rent the cutters at Ash Gear . Spur gears of the combo stub type are a snap but this has me scratching . Can I use the roll to ratio from a full depth 6 Dp calc or will it be differant . Do I use the same gauge for cutter tip and side .
