The feed constant for the differential is on a plate inside the door to it. We have a 12/N and the formula is lead/5. The feed rate is independent of the lead so you can change feed rates without recalculating the diff gears. The index is also independent so if you are cutting 96 teeth we would index for that,(12/96).
