It seems that the advantages of a differential are less for a small machine, where completion in one cut is the norm anyway.

I posted a FAQ topic describing helical setups using Pickup Constant to find change gears. Maybe you would find something of use there.

Maybe using dual setups to cut prime gears is still an advantage, but if the differential turns out to be less than accurate, ahhh well...

Perhaps there is something damaged in the differential?
