The mating gear has 48 teeth and an O.D. of 8.225. These gears operate on a center distance of 5.100. A 7dp 20 degree hob rolls real nicely in both gears but it does not go quite all the way to the bottom of the teeth. The angle seems fine but it seems that the gears are extra deep for some reason. The hob that I have has a depth of .3214. I do know for sure that the 12 tooth gear was cut on a gear shaper if that makes any difference because it has a hub close to the gear that would not allow hobbing. My new gear will not have this hub so it should be able to be hobbed.

The index ratio of my machine is 30:1 and the feed constant is .075.
