Hobbing machines confuse me when the design is not known. If the differential follows index gearing, teeth has to be in the denominator. I thought that, in European countries, Zo represented teeth, which I assumed to be workpiece teeth. Starts is typically represented by T (but there was no T in the hand-written formula).

Are you sure about the Zo for this specific machine?
