Opt for control if you currently have trouble
with AGMA10 gear specs. All of the most
complicated profile and lead gears are best
dealt with one flank at a time, though the
Rieshauer concept with continuous long contact
is very good, and an optimal tool has a large
diameter of continuous flank grinding, or at
least continous dressing of the grinding wheel.
helical or spur? helical with lead and profile
modifications are definitely single flank
candidates. Pls post more info about the gears
you are working with; pitch, pressure angle,
helix...
