Actually, I think you're talking about a herringbone gear, right? Please supply additional gear data and we'll calculate span for you. I do not know of a span measurement chart for helical gears. We measure span on helicals in the normal plane and as compared to a spur gear, helical span is a function of so many factors, I can't see putting it all on one chart. I use software. Better yet, MOW calculations any be a better way to check tooth thickness .
