Definition of terms:

Np - Number of teeth, pinion
Ng - Number of teeth, gear
PitAp - Pitch angle, pinion
PitAg - Pitch angle. gear
FAp - Face angle, pinion
FAg - Face angle, gear
RAp - Root angle, pinion
RAg - Root angle, gear
ODp - Outside dia., pinion
ODg - Outside dia., gear
DPn - Diametral pitch, numerator (2.5)
DPd - Diametral pitch, denominator (3)
Add - Addendum
Ded - Dedendum
DedA - Dedendum Angle
OCD - Outer cone distance

Formulas:

Add = 1/DPd
Ded = 1.157/DPd
PitAp = ATAN(Np/Ng)
PitAg = 90- PitAp
OCD = Np/DPn/2/SIN(PitAp)
DedA = ATAN(Ded/OCD)
FAp = PitAp + DedA
FAg = PitAg + DedA
RAp = PitAp - DedA
RAg = PitAg - DedA
ODp = Np/DPn + 2 x Add x COS(PitAp)
ODg = Ng/DPn + 2 x Add x COS(PitAg)
