The material is 4340HT at 38-40 R/C. The shaft is 5" with face width of 2" at one end and .600dia.x.600 long bearing journals at each end. There's a center at the face width end I'm holding the other end in a collet assy. in a chuck. I'm making a finish pass of .015 with a total cycle time of about 15min. 50rpm. and .03 feed. I get an order of 100 pcs. per mo. I appreciate the interest. Attending to this machine every 7 min. is giving me a headache.
