12 questions about gearbox design

1 how temperature in each meshing from Input to output varies does it depend on rpm or torsional load or climate ,can that be measured for proper cooling method .
2 how to calculate minimun no of tooth in gear
3 is normaly a gearpair postive drive and hence slip is zero
4 why contact length and area in ratio are described for
transverse and overlap contact ratio
5 tell idea about wall thickness for gear box. how its calculated
6 wind gear boxes are replaced by motors directly to generaters , how does it work any one got idea about this
7 please explain differance between single and double runout
8 forces are resolved in gears from output to input or input to out put
9 bearing life reduces when direction of rotation is changed why ,please reply
10 wohler line says every metals has its own life time for working ,according to loading condition
does any one have idea ,how its estimated
11 whats a smith curve , have any got idea about it
12 why brakes are used in Input shaft side will not internal gear part get torsional load in reverse direction leading to tooth damage example in wind load or coveyar belt overload in slanted postion with load any good reason for that.
