An added note: If you have (or can get) two helical setups that were run on this machine I can help you find the diff. constant.
Also, if you have an accurate way to measure the lead of a test cut gear, you can assume the "Type" of machine and compute the diff. constant fairly accurately. "Type" here means knowing whether the diff. change gears must be refigured if the gear's number of teeth change. There are two "Types" to my knowledge and each uses a different formula to calculate diff. change gear ratio. Refer to the FAQ to see an explanation of the two different formulas.
