I'm currently making 4 gears for a demag overhead crane, info is limited, howeve it would appear that they are module gears. here's my problem; the gear I was given to mesh with doesn't really fit any known gear well. here's the info
OD=6.020
Root Diam= 5.695
Whole Depth= .169
Pitch Diam=5.863
Circular pitch=.24562

here's the actual for a 2module gear
OD=6.06299
circular pitch=.24736
addendum=module=2mm or .0787
whole depth=.1705
pitch diameter= 5.9055(150mm)
root diameter= 5.72199

the big thing is as far as I can see, the manufacturer custom makes the gears to prevent off the shelf purchases, but the problem is that if it's a module 2 gears, the range for the cutter is 2 to 6 module, 35 to 54 teeth(cutter # 6) whereas a cutter # 7's range is 54 to 134 teeth, but the module range of that cutter is 2.25 to 6.50. what I need to know is since these are expensive cutters, and I can only get one, which one should I get?
