i plan to build a gearbox for a project. prior to my design desicion i would like to know what type of bevel gear would be apropriot, i would prefer to use strait bevel, skew and spiral are options i should digest. max priority is stength and relaibility and longjevity. gear ratio will be 1 to 1 or 1 to 2, 1 to 1 would offer least bulk and weight. would 1to2 reduce stresses by incresing ring gear dia? the output summ rpm wont exeed 500 rpm so it is low speed noise is not a concern . i think 1000 pounds of constant non impact load is my estimate thank you much
