I am trying to get a change gear combination for fellows 6A, to cut a 79T gear with a 32T cutter. All the instructions say the pitch gear must be a multiple of 1,2,4 or 6 of the cutter. Is this a hard fast rule or if the math works on the gearing can you omit this rule?
