I have approx. 20 years "hands on" gear cutting experience, and have a close association with someone who has a lot of experience with a wide range of Gleasons, methods and summaries.
I consider myself a programmer foremost, with a passion to develop software to simplify and organize summaries and setups. When I looked at the hundreds of steps, many decisions, tables, etc. involved in Gleason summaries, I saw the challenge. For job shops to make their manual machines productive, setups have to be easy, quick and accurate. That's been my goal.
Contributors to this forum like Allen Guest bring a lot to the table for all of us. He and others make this website a joy to host and a resource for everyone in gearing.
I hope visitors will take Allen up on his offering of Gleason summaries. Good luck, Allen.
