This is a very important issue to be dealt with in gear design. Standard beam deflection equations can be used to predict shaft deflection. This is not normally material that can be looked up in a catalog. Also, bearing deflection can be a factor. The bearing manufacturer can help with load vs. bearing deflection characteristics, which are not linear. Bay Machine Design can help with these problems.
