Thanks Micheal for the great assist. This is what the forum is all about.

I believe the error Josh is seeing is probably due to a missing setting for his machine in cpc-hob.

If feed constant, index gear pitch, index gear max size and number (in "Configuration"), index CC distance between fixed shafts, feed gear range, or max diff gear size are not entered for the machine, then the program can interpret the machine incorrectly and issue these kinds of warnings.

If all machine settings are entered through the "Browse & Edit" option in cpc-hob, then the message "Gearset cannot be found..." is valid and saves the user from going to the machine with a setup that won't reach, or gears that are not in change gear inventory.

Also, you can (and should) exclude any missing change gear sizes from cpc-hob. If the machine uses feed gears (not dial feed) and if it has a differential, then there are two additional columns in the "Browse & Edit" Hob Machine List screen. These columns allow you to exclude feed and differential gear sizes. To see these columns, simply tab beyond the last column ("M") in this screen.

These machine settings are only entered once for each machine, and are well worth the effort.
Hope This Helps,
